About Shas Journey
Learn all of Mishnayos, one bite at a time!
What is Shas Journey?
Shas Journey is a fun, interactive way to learn all of Mishnayos (the entire Shas!). Instead of reading through long texts, you learn through “Mishnah Bites” — short, memorable facts extracted from the Mishnah and its commentaries (Bartenura and Tosafos Yom Tov).
The app is designed for kids ages 10-13, but anyone can use it to learn or review Mishnayos in a quick, engaging format.
And here's the fun part: ace a quiz with 3 stars and unlock a reward game! Each of the 6 Sedarim has its own unique game — from Brick Breaker to Pac-Man. Compete for the highest scores on the leaderboard, and stay tuned for prizes for top players! See below for more details.
How Learning Works
Each perek (chapter) has 4 phases:
Preview Questions
See what topics the perek covers — questions like “When can you start saying Shema at night?” get you curious about what you're about to learn.
Mishnah Bites
Learn the actual content through bite-sized facts. Each card shows one key point from the Mishnah or commentary. Tap to flip and see more details!
Summary Review
Before the quiz, see all the preview questions together as a checklist of what you just learned.
Quiz
Test your knowledge with multiple-choice questions. Get instant feedback on each answer!
Climb Har Sinai
Your journey follows a path through all 6 Sedarim (orders) and 63 Masechtos (tractates) of Mishnayos — that's 525 perakim total!
Each masechta is visualized as Har Sinai — climb the mountain by completing perakim! Start at the base with Bnei Yisrael and work your way up through fire and lightning toward the Torah at the summit.
Start with Brachos and work your way through. Each perek you complete unlocks the next one, like climbing to the next level of the mountain.
Stars & Scoring
You need at least 60% correct to pass the quiz and unlock the next perek. The more you get right, the more stars you earn:
If you don't pass, don't worry! Review the Mishnah Bites and try again. You can always retry a perek to improve your star rating!
Reward Games
Get 3 stars on a perek quiz to unlock a special reward game! Each of the 6 Sedarim has its own unique game:
Quiz questions pop up during gameplay — answer correctly for bonus points! Games have 3 lives, so play carefully. Each perek is a level with its own difficulty based on how far you've progressed.
Streaks & Badges
Daily Streaks
Complete at least one perek each day to build your streak. How many days in a row can you keep learning?
Badges
Earn special badges for achievements like completing your first perek, finishing a masechta, getting perfect scores, and maintaining long streaks. Check your Stats page to see all available badges!
